i looked into this just a couple weeks back, use Rock N Roll Super Slick Grease:

or Slickoleum, which is what I believe RockShox/SRAM rebrand:

http://slickoleum.com/

I ended up getting the slickoleum as it was more easily available to me and cheaper for a large tube.

If I was rebuilding and I use Rock and Roll Super Slick, because that's the last I bought (and their red and web). I also use it for Hope freehubs as it wolks really well there. On the springs I would use the Rock Red Grease
But if all I had was a tub of generic (Park) grease or Castrol, then I would use that too on seals and bushings.
Here it was specifically about the springs and they don't care about slick slippery grease, just something to protect them and allow a bit of scrape on the inside of the stanchion tube.

:)

Just searched on Slickoleum and seems I can get it over here (UK) also SRAM Butter is made by them, no doubt about it... it says so on the tin. Though technically that's not Judy butter.
Also found a Video showing them
