I'm completely stumped

I'm thinking about taking a look at this bike today, mainly because I just can't figure out what it is. Not a Stumpjumper, Zaskar, Mongoose, Giant, NP....or the usual suspects.

Seller claims it has a mix of XTR and XT, which I believe (m900 shifters?). Brakes look like Dia-comp, in any case appears to be an early to mid 90's build.

Any ideas on maker/model? Thanks!!!!

Well it looks to me like it's built with carbon tubes bonded into aluminium lugs, so definitely not any of the above. Possibly a Reflex.

Its not but if you were REALLY lucky

Re:

I'm thinking the frame is steel/bonded carbon, and it appears to be nicely made.

I can only think of a few builders that had a similar steel/carbon design: Yeti C-26, Spec Epic, Mongoose (welded carbon), ?

Hoping to take a look today.

Re:

I can't think of any bike I've seen with the lugs that long. Interesting to see what it turns out to be. Looks to have some nice early 90s kit on it.

Re:

Picked up the bike. Complete mixed-bag of a build.

Frame appears to be Canadian, 1 1/8" head tube, and strange spiral weave on the carbon tubes. Serial # BA18869.

Seller claimed that it was raced professionally in the early 90's.

Any Canuks recognize this bike or the "D" logo?

Thanks!
