Which 8sp Freehub Body for 7 Speed hubs

So I want to use both my Exage RM50 and LX M560 hubs for 8 speeds. I know it's another cost but I like these hubs and one is on a ceramic rim already.

There are a number of freehub bodies about, mainly at JeJames Cycles. Including RM33, M570, M760 and probably a few road ones as well.

Question is, these all seem relatively new as I thought the previous standard was an STX-RC one (which I think is what RM33 is or was that MC38?), does anyone know which ones you can use today?

They are pretty much all interchangeable

just remember to adjust the dishing and axle spacing to suit. Sometimes the smallest cog will also foul the frame if the frame is 130mm width

Good to know, but they all look so different in pictures. Like, with different splines/interfaces (although I imagine that the threading is all identical knowing Shimano).

Re:

Avoid silent clutch versions or ritchey.

Stx-rc , deore 510, 570, 750, are the same interface (smaller spline). Some axle cones have a model specific seal system, begging the need to faff around to get it all looking right. Fairly easy to do.
