I've fitted a NOS flex stem and in the few rides out its taken quite a beating and the rubber has been squashed leading to play in the stem.

since Suspension fork parts don't stock em I've been looking at alternatives,

has anyone found a like for like stand in, they appear to be very similar to those used on skate boards

Re:

I've read on a few threads in the past that skateboard truck bushings will indeed do the job..

They're also not that much £££ so probably worth a try anyway?

At £6.25 post free what's not to like and you get all those bolts as well.

Gotta worth a punt.... Hard or medium compound ?

I have a green (or is it red) one in my spares box you can have for postage cost.
Drop me a PM if you want a pic etc

Hi Jimo

That's a top offer, however I pulled the trigger on the skateboard rubber bumper things first thing this morning.

Rather than me hoard things I may not need, can I let you know

And thanks once again for your offer.... I maybe tapping you up.

Well they turned up and went straight in,

First impression was they're to big, but since the old one had got squashed and no longer pushed the bar back up I wasn't duly surprised.

Still not sure if the black (hard) ones are too hard as I've not yet had time for a test ride.

Good news is they drop in without any modification....and cheap.
