Seriously, these mated with Grafton levers are the hardest brakes to set up...

I've owned a few sets and can never get these to feel as solid and work as effectively as other brands.

Any tips for getting decent action and stopping leverage with these? I'm wondering whether even Tinker's race Klein had spongy brakes :)

Re:

I use the 2mm XT pre stretched cable and larger bore brake lever ferrules to accommodate the larger diam cable. The levers are fragile and will bend and crack at the holes, if you grip it like a silverback. I also use Aztec brake blocks on XT eyelets. It all works well. In truth the levers are too fragile for regular heavy use. I swop them for Paul canti ones on a rider. SCs are great when set up properly though.
