Let's try and help the man before he gets snotty with us. I reiterate what THM has said, I would add that I have salvaged saddles in the same manner, sometimes a bit of black insulating tape over the whole area holds it all together while the glue is setting (not Prit Stick, that was a joke, probably Super Glue or some such) Then it can be cut around or clear coat of something put over the top.

Black boot polish can hide any indiscretions quite nicely. Buff to a shine afterwards, so to speak.... :mrgreen:
