RC200 Singlespeed project - FINISHED PHOTOS

Re:

Tasks for next week are to get the Velosolo set-up ordered for the rear, source a chain and start to have some thoughts on Stem handlebar combo.

This FSA stem was fitted just to get the forks installed, along with a USE Atom Carbon handlebar that I had sitting around.

Any thoughts from anyone on best stem to go for? Tempted by a HOPE stem in a similar colour to the hubs. Or maybe source a nice PACE stem?

At the minute I am running a carbon stem and carbon risers on my 'daily driver' a Langster Monaco so that's also an option as I think I'd quite like to put the Monaco back on it's drop bars.

Any suggestions welcome.

Beautifully made (as it should be for the price!) singlespeed kit from Velosolo with a SURLY cog. Gunmetal grey.

Re:

All fitted up and lock ring tightened. Going to be a nice straight chainline on this one!

Re:

Looks even better in place. I am obviously very biased but am so pleased with the combination of gunmetal frame, hub colour, the colour of the dropout bolts and the singlespeed kit. Tarty? Me?!!!!

Re: RC200 project - The Singlespeed to beat all singlespeeds!

Its coming along nicely.

Thats a pretty high gear, you live in the flatlands?

Re: RC200 project - The Singlespeed to beat all singlespeeds!

Thank you. Just need that stem and a bar that I'm happy with and I think it's done. Going to do down the Thomson route.

Ratio is the same as my Langster which works for tooling around central London.

I will admit that this is much more of a 'coffee bike' than a hard-worked tool!

Re:

They say good projects take many years. Some say the best projects are never finished.

The final pieces of the puzzle were getting the Stem and seatpost combo right and Thomson Elite were always going to deliver the goods. And how could a Pace build not include a sublime Selle Italia Flite Titanium.

Am very happy with the way this has turned out though:
