In their defence, it is actually titled 100 'of the' best mountain bikes.

Not the 100 'best' mountain bikes,

ahh but it is ^^ see below, admittedly it comes with the caveat "its not Exhaustive and not especially objective"

Fair comment, but if you create a website and post then you bare your ass for comments both good, bad or indifferent

Give anyone a choice of the same top 100 and I can guarantee no two lists would be in the same order.

If you widened that to knocking up a top 100 from any bike built and then it chaos as everyone has their own favourites, just as the dude has stated on his website..... Biased to steel MTB's from the 90's

And there lays the crux "we're all biased". ... Some would say blinkered

I've never ridden a 29'er or a Phat bike and personally I'd rather shove Wasps up my arse than spending good money on owning one
....which is stupid (the wasps also) but I stand by the fact I'll never Bu one.

And here we go............

At least it's not G&OT

Give it time.

Differing opinions is great and what makes this site great when it's on topic.

A bit of effort goes a long way so to not even bother stating a model or era for a manufacturer is lazy and pointless.
