Fake Chris King headsets....? How to tell??

Re:

These ones look pretty good too:

That's impressive that they managed to spell it wrong on only one colour. Might be worth even more as I'm sure there was a product recall on these making them quite rare.

Is it possible if this is or isn't a fake?

One of the threads on here mentioned that the seal on the bearings should not be red ...and this one looks a bit red...though it's also very dirty.

thanks
I’d say that was real.

The bearings in the fakes are standard rubber shielded ones not the metal circlip thing that you can see there.

Also the fakes have the (in my opinion) far superior split compression ring and separate top cover where as that looks like the annoying scuff washer system.

I watched a short docu years ago on BBC4 called Ride of my Life.. you can probably find it on youtube.. a Guardian journalist/bike enthusiast went around the world sourcing parts for his dream build (something we would all love to do i'm sure) even 10yrs ago CK was ultra paranoid about folks ripping off his patents, he wouldn't do interviews.. the Beebs 'tour' of the CK factory was concluded in seconds.
