Just wasted an evening trying to fit a set of XT V brakes that I bought a year or so. Couldn't understand why they were not working and it appears the little springs on the right parallel push has died. Is this a common failure with these brakes. I stripped the linkage down as they were a bit stiff and I presume this caused the spring to fail due to working too hard.
I have had a look but i am not seeing any spare springs for these available anywhere. Has anyone had any luck finding spares recently?
